REVOLTION NOW PROTEST-The Report

Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike has declared that nobody should attempt the RevolutionNow protest in the state - He directed security agencies in the state to arrest anybody involved in the RevolutionNow protest. He made this declaration yesterday Sunday 4th August 2019, at Rivers State government with some his cabinets.
Also The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has given its thoughts on the planned RevolutionNow protests - The group’s spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman described the planned march as “suspect” at a press briefing - The group averred that it has failed to see how the interest of the northern people The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has associated groups in the region from the planned RevolutionNow protest.

THE Democracy Watch Africa boycott the protest: - The Democracy Watch Africa has staged a counter-protest against the #RevolutionNow movement


- The group, which rallied in Lagos, also called for the expulsion of Amnesty International

- Josephine Okpara, one of the leaders of the group, said the #RevolutionNow protest is not in the interest of Nigerians

The Democracy Watch Africa, which describes itself as an umbrella body of over 30 civil society organisations in West Africa, have staged a counter-protest against the #RevolutionNow movement.

Members of the group took to the streets in Lagos on Monday, August 5, and headed to the seat of power in Alausa as they called for caution over the planned protest by the coalition led by Omoyele Sowore and others.

Arewa groups warns Northern youths- Arewa group called on northern youths to desist from the RevolutionNow protest

- The group accused the protesters of wanting to destabilise the nation

- The DSS was commended for arresting Omoyele Sowore who is the convener of the protest

The Arewa Youth Federation has issued a warning to northern youths not to be used to destabilise the country and asked them to shun the RevolutionNow protests.

According to Leadership, the group gave this warning theough its president. Adamu Kabir Matazu in Abuja
